We've had some serious ups and downs this summer but we're back on course and optimistic! We're still hoping to make a wonderful connection... If you're considering adoption or know someone who is, we'd love to hear about your plans, your hopes and dreams...

I bought a new book...
Throughout our adoption journey, I've been meeting some incredible people. Some are other hopeful adoptive parents. Others are birthmothers who have found families for their children. Everyone's experience is different and yet so very much the same in many ways. I am always amazed at how much I learn from each and the support and encouragement I've received.
The book I bought was written by a birthmother, Kelsey Stewart, and it says everything simply but wonderfully. It's called The Best For You and it explains the choice of adoption from a Birthmother's point of view. I love it. If you'd like to check out the book or Kelsey's blog, here's the link: http://thebestforyoubook.blogspot.com/
Hope you're doing well! Be sure to take a look at our Letter to Expectant Parents - the link's right there on the right! :)

Happy Sunday
John and I love Sundays. It's always just a relaxed day where we get to spend time together each week. This morning we got up early and went for a long walk with the dog. When we got back home, it was time to cook breakfast (omlets and hash browns - yum!) and sit on the porch with our coffee. Chatted with neighbors who strolled by. It was quiet, nice. Then the kid's soccer game started and we watched that for awhile. Later, we hit the pool, which just opened this week. It was alot of fun to watch the kids - especially the toddlers in the baby pool!
So, it was a nice break for John from the work week and his commute. Tomorrow, he'll head back to the beltway to work and I'll be working on some projects.
I hope you had a great weekend too! We are waiting and hoping to hear from you soon! :)

Memorial Day Weekend Exercise: A Playlist :)
So as I try to create this blog, one of the things I want to do is to add a playlist so that I can choose music. I played around with it and finally got it to work today!
Hopefully as I get this finished up, I can turn my attention to writing more interesting posts about our life and what we're doing! In the meantime, have a wonderful holiday weekend with your family and friends!
Hoping you'll get in touch really soon! :)
